Birmingham Pride has been rescheduled for a second time due to coronavirus.
The event which has seen thousands gather annually over May bank holiday since 1997, was rescheduled to take place in September 2020 after the UK went into lockdown.
However, organisers have said they are now in a better position to make an informed decision for the safety of all its attendees.
“... it is with great sadness and regret we feel that we have no choice but to postpone Birmingham Pride again until May 29 and May 30, 2021. After all, everyone's safety must be our primary concern.” Lawrence Barton
Birmingham Pride director Lawrence Barton said: "Back in March we made the difficult decision to postpone what would have been the usual date of Birmingham Pride, over the Bank Holiday in May and move it to September instead.
"However, as time has moved on and with additional Government advice we now find ourselves in a much better position to make an informed decision.
"With that in mind, it is with great sadness and regret we feel that we have no choice but to postpone Birmingham Pride again until May 29 and May 30, 2021. After all, everyone's safety must be our primary concern.
"The good news is that our small team are working extremely hard to confirm as many of this years artists as possible, including our headliners, Kelly Rowland and Cheryl."
Any ticket holders for the 2020 event will be given the option to transfer their ticket to next year.
